We may have just found our favourite outdoor adventure at the new Yanchep Trees Adventure in Perth. Here you can climb, zip line and challenge yourself on seven different obstacle courses on this latest Perth treetop park. .
A treetop adventure park
Set inside beautiful Yanchep National Park, there’s something for everyone at this newest Perth trees adventure. For full details on the Dwellingup Trees Adventure Park read the post here.
As long as your over four-years-old, you can challenge yourself on seven different courses that offer over seventy different challenges.
The seven obstacle courses are all colour coded and vary in difficulty. They range from yellow (only for kids under eight years old) to green, blue, red and for those that dare – black.
To get on the black course though, you have to earn your stripes and show that you completed the other courses first. Once you’ve made the grade, you can prove your worth with challenges that are 10 metres above the ground and deep in the tree canopies.
The challenges on the courses include ziplines, tightropes, wooden bridges, cargo nets and a few wobbly things that have to be overcome. The zipline though is likely to be the firm favourite with the longest one over 80 metres long.
The course runs along an interlocking pulley and lever system. This means that you’re hooked in the whole way – it also means that you can’t turn back once you’ve started but that’s a good thing!
Everyone has two hours to complete as many courses as they can. For most this is about 3-4 courses. You can start with the easier ones and build your way up.
Miss Six loved the challenge and was pretty chuffed with herself at the end. It’s a fantastic way to build self-reliance, learn to commit and see something through to the end independently. Valuable life lessons for us all.
As long as you’re over the age of four, you’ll find an obstacle course to suit you at the trees adventure park. The trees adventure is a great way to challenge yourself, however the friendly staff are more than happy to assist if you get stuck.
